The Hub Network Roadmap

This is not financial advice — just proven guidance from businesses who have grown inside The Hub Network. Every business is different, but the principles tend to repeat.

Early Stage

Less than ~$20K per year

You're building awareness. Getting first clients. Learning your market. Spend very lightly (<$100/mo). Focus on visibility and legitimacy: Google Business, basic SEM, and community presence.

Growth Mode

$20K–$150K per year

You’ve validated your service and want more clients. Invest 3–8% of revenue. Mix SEO + SEM, partnerships, better branding, and ongoing visibility. Momentum matters here.

Coast Mode

Stable, comfortable revenue

You’re consistent but need to stay relevant. Light but steady marketing: reputation, referrals, targeted SEM, partnerships. Coasting should not mean going invisible.

Rules of Thumb: Marketing Spend by Revenue

Under $20K/year: Spend as little as possible — under $100/mo

$20K–$75K/year: 3–5% of revenue

$75K–$250K/year: 5–8% of revenue

$250K+/year: 8–12% of revenue for real scale

The Bread & Butter: What Actually Works

SEO / SEM

People find you when they *need* you. High intent. Measurable results.

Local Events

Chamber, nonprofits, meetups — trust and awareness are built locally.

Reputation

Google reviews, testimonials, case studies — social proof converts.

Partnerships

Banks, media, referral partners — amplification at low cost.

Recommended One-Time Momentum Builders

Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting: immediate legitimacy and awareness.

Market Update Spotlight (via RGI): do 3 months later to reinforce momentum.

These are your “kickstart” moments — the spark before your ongoing marketing takes over.

At the end of the day, people need to know you exist, trust you, and have a clear path to buy from you. Do those three things in the right sequence, and growth becomes predictable.
